The forecast was wrong for Saturday it didn’t snow all Friday night it did start in the middle of the night and by morning we had a couple inches and some sleet and it snowed lightly almost all day but no more real accumulation. The weather was updated and stated all Saturday night and Sunday morning – more 1-2 inches of snow and some sleet/ice – we will see what it is like this morning. It is cold as can be and yesterday’ high of 18 didn’t last real long and 12 was the low – today – we will see. I didn’t go out and measure – I will today. I moved more of Jack’s Chain around – yesterday most thought the 3rd version was the best. The dark green center on that one still bothers me where I moved it to the 2nd from last on first row. Some of the triangle colors will change as I go on – the yellow triangle where it is no longer suits it but I didn’t move it.
Started to put the Jigsaw Puzzle pieces together Friday night.

What happened in Minnesota on Saturday was horrifying. How a life can be taken so quickly is awful. The male nurse was filming the protesting, and helped a woman up off the ground and both were peppered sprayed he was trying to help her and he was shoved to the sidewalk – he did not reach for the gun that he had a legal permit to carry. The Ice officers (and I call them that lightly as they have very little training) opened fire on him – after removing his gun – six times killing him and then say that he tried to shoot them. I saw four different videos on this now from four sources given to the authorities – this was murder anyway you look at it. Call your congressman’s office, call your senators – this must stop. This man that was murdered was a 37 year old nurse working in ICU and with the VA!!

It was snowing when I got up, but it has quit. Looks like we might have gotten 6″ of snow. If the storm isn’t as bad as they predicted, that’s not a bad thing. The cookies look really good. Stay warm!
Our night began with rain and this morning there is what looks like a layer of ice pellets on top of everything including the street outside our front door. I think our community was pretty well prepared, so I’m going to shamelessly enjoy a day sheltering inside. And, yes, what happened in Minnesota yesterday was inexcusable.
What happened to that nurse was murder. The whole world knows the truth and yet some claim to be blind. It’s past time for anyone to be able to claim they were unaware of what is happening. All Americans who love democracy must join to stop the destruction of our country.
Looks like that amount of snow is manageable, and not overwhelming. We’ve gotten about the same amount here, and similar temperatures, too. Highs in the teens again today – I’m missing my outdoor walks! Jack’s Chain is looking good, and yummy cookies, too. Daily there is another outrage from these people – I can’t even imagine how the people in Minneapolis are dealing with it. I am contacting my Senators and Representative frequently to protest. I don’t know if it does any good, but it makes me feel like I’m at least trying.
Agree – the federal government is murdering people and they don’t seem to care. I think it is their plan to cause such outrage that they can invoke martial law and cancel elections.

Your cookies look lovely, and it nice to turn on the oven and have a nice fresh baked aroma on a chilly day. Loving all the hexies, I always like to look for ideas for my next hexie project. So many ways to put them all together!
Maybe this storm isn’t going to be as bad as predicted. We are on the northern edge of it and have about 1″ of snow.

There is absolutely no argument that the male nurse was murdered! Thank goodness for people and their phones recording these attrocities.Though, of course, ‘they’ will, and are spinning a different and disgusting narrative. I hope that this murder is the straw that breaks the camel’s back and people will now begin to say ‘enough is enough’ and begin to take action. Good on you for speaking out, Karen! I totally agree with you about the situation in Minn. And now ICE is coming to Maine. I worry that when they “finish” there, they will come to VT. Our governor, who has been a bit namby pamby about the situation, actually came out with an “Enough is Enough” message. He doesn’t want any killing here either. When Vance came here on vacation last year, there was a protest at the airport and along a major highway several miles long. He and his family left early.

We barely had snow in Crossville TN, storm not what they had predicted. But we had a snowy wake-up Monday that nobody mentioned, will be very cold week.
