I am now caught upon the RSC quilt I’m making with the yellow for the Flowering Snowball quilt. It is once again ready to be put away for a little bit and I will get the Pineapple blocks out next to work on for a little bit. I got both of these sewed yesterday – the big blocks are easy to work with and came out really good. I wonder what the September color will be? There will be 8 more blocks to make as I am making 2 each month – that would give me a 60” square quilt or larger if I decide to make more blocks continuing into next year.
The blocks so far – these are 12 inch blocks
I’m working on the 3rd side of the binding for the Broken Star Log Cabin quilt and maybe got about a third of that 3rd side done.
Almost done with going across the bottom of Silent Night – it will be ready to be rolled down already last night surprising enough! But it is smaller than my other quilts.

I think that Angela said the next colour will be purple. The Christmas quilt is looking good! The binding on the log cabin will soon be done.
I liked the look of your rainbow scrappy flowering snowball, so I got templates to make 12″ blocks myself. I have only made two yellow blocks so far but I plan to make this project go into 2027. A 60″ throw would be great as I can quilt it myself on my Elna. Thanks for the inspiration!
I sure like those yellow Snowball blocks, but then I like all of them. I would love to think I might actually sew this weekend and get my RSC blocks done before the end of the month. Silent Night is going fast – you’ll have a pretty new Christmas quilt ready!
Hopefully we are in the last stretch of extreme heat – I keep seeing forecasts of rain beginning mid-September. I guess if we’ve stood it this long, we can hang in there.
Yes, yes, and yes! I love the touch of yellow. You are almost finished with the binding. And I am excited about Silent Night being quilted! Have a great day!
The Flowering Snowballs are fun in every color! I love the look of them in every color. You’re moving right along on the Silent Night quilting, too. Thatalways a good feeling!
I like the yellow flowering snowball blocks. I haven’t gotten any RSC blocks done this month or last month. I am going to try and catch up this weekend.
Your snowball blocks turned out beautifully. It’s boing to be a really fun quilt. Are you going to keep it on the smaller side?
The Flowering Snowball blocks look like they are pretty fast to assemble. You could continue with multicolor pieces after the colors for this year are done.
Silent Night will be ready well ahead of Christmas at this pace.
Your flowering snowball blocks are so pretty. I think the colour for Setsmber may be purple, we will soon find out.

The snowball blocks are very nice. That’s going to be a very visually impactful quilt. Can’t wait to see the Broken Star beauty shots.
Wow – those are beautiful blocks!! They will make such a pretty quilt. Your hand quilting is so well done.
