Lazy Day

I truly did little yesterday so now today I will need to do laundry and some other things.  I’m still waiting for the 3rd installment of my BOM which should come soon but now that it is Saturday already if it doesn’t come today it won’t be for another couple days or week.

I only have more of the Broken Star Log Cabin to share from quilting Thursday night.  This block was worked on – as you can see I can only quilt slightly half of the block in reach.

I have this much left of this row to do.  Its getting there – this second half of the row will take about 3 evenings probably.

If the BOM part 3 doesn’t  come in the mail today I might get one of my other projects out to work on.  I have a log cabin that I started sometime last year and have fabric scraps put aside for it I think I only have about 6- 12 inch blocks made I might pull that out.

Glad to see you’re still at it Karen! I was reading a blog post of mine from 10 years ago… seen your comment and thought I would pop by! Lovely stitching you are working at. ??

Hey your lazy days are busy days for me – lol! Those log cabins are so pretty on your frame, and it must be exciting to be near the end. Gosh I hope your fabric comes in today. I forgot, is that from FQS?
I’m staring out my east-facing window at a pretty sunrise (well the sun is actually rising in the northeast!) and longing for rain. Some of my flowers are still blooming, but mostly the garden is toast!
How’s Mike doing? Tell him your fans are rooting for him. 🙂

I think you needed a lazy day as you have been really whizzing around with garden stuff and errands and you just needed a resting day. Sometimes it is fun to pull out an older project and make a little more headways with it. I pulled out another panel I hope to work on this week after getting a few other things finished. We got 1.5″ rain yesterday.

It’s hard to wait for those packages when you really want to work on that project! I finally got a Connecting Threads order that I put in 3 weeks ago – they were really slow in fulfilling it this time. Your log cabin blocks have the prettiest scraps in them – it’s fun to look at the blocks you’re quilting close-up!

You are never lazy. I really like the way you are quilting the log cabin through the center of the strips. I would have never thought of that.

Pulling out an older project will make it feel like new again. I think I’ll hunt for some started projects today too to work on. Rain today, an inch and a half so far after 4 weeks without rain.

We all need lazy days. Fingers crossed that your project arrived in the mail on Saturday.

I’m confident that you can find something to fill the time until Timeless arrives!
