There really is progress with the Double Flying Geese on Timeless – they are all made now for this second of four round of blocks to make. I spent the early part of the afternoon (while Raven was napping) to get to work on them.
Last of them done
And pressing is done.
I got a sample block laid out by going with the last group of baskets to get them right. I like the red grouping better for color as the there is more contrast between the red and green compared to the two shades of blue in the first group. Eight blocks ready to sew and I plan to get going on it today. Linking to Jennifer’s Wednesday Wait Loss
The two units finished the other day in the upper left hand side are now stitched in place and I’m ready to pick out nine new colors to put on one side and then it will be ten for the next.
I didn’t quilt Monday night as we were all out picking up branches that had fallen from that last storm – work on it while we had the help, then we came back in to visit for a bit before they left and it was late so I didn’t sit to quilt. This is the section I started on last night though – this part will take 2-3 nights. It will go up to where the first line is stitched from the other day where I stitched before I quit for the night.
Raven likes to follow me all over the place if she is awake. I have to watch the floor to make sure I don’t trip over the tricky little think. She moves darn fast – follows me so much that even when I go to the bathroom she doesn’t want me out of her sight — I know that at least half of the time she is waiting outside the door for me! I knew she would be out there so I had the camera ready when I opened the door she had already popped up from laying down waiting for me. Why did I adopt this cat – she is beginning to annoy me already!!

Raven may be annoying but in a cute and loving way! You are her person.
I love the way honey honey is looking . Assembling the basket blocks should be easy now that the units are made. ( as long as the units don’t get twisted!!!).
Sometimes I’m a little slow on the uptake, I get the double flying goose blocks now…..it’s taking a flying goose and adding flip corners. I’ve made those units before but the pattern used a square and triangles. I understand the annoyances with Raven but she’s still in her kitten stage…..and she’s adorable in pictures 😉
The basket blocks are beautiful. You are definitely Raven’s person! She’s so cute!
I agree that the new red and green blocks will stand out better, but I still like the blue too;)
My cats actually paw under the door if I’m in the bathroom. It’s like they don’t like not being able to see you. I follow more cats on Instagram than I do people, their day-to-day antics are far more interesting to me – lol! Raven is just a typical kitten, And crazy about you! My 5 annoy me every day in some way, but I couldn’t do without a single one. 😉
The red and green basket blocks are really pretty! I agree, the contrast in the fabrics really enhances their look. Our last dog was like that – would not leave you alone – and I was always annoyed by that. Until he died and then I missed him so much! You caught a sweet picture of her there!
You are lucky that Raven wants to be near you! We have one that likes my lap and one who just expects us to feed her and nothing else. You’re fortunate she wants attention.
I like both basket colors. Gonna be very nice.
Raven is not just ‘yours’ now—she is part of all your blog readers–she is family and we love her actions and photos–she will calm some as she gets older–and they grow up fast–have a good quilty day–hugs, di (daily reader)
I like the red and green blocks a lot. The blue would have been nice with a contrasting color in it.
I would have been tripped and fallen with a little animal in my house. It’s too dangerous for me.
They really are very pretty basket blocks. I’m sure you are not really annoyed with Raven. She is just a kitten and her energy levels will drop as she grows older.
I am late on my blog reading today, and I’m still trying to catch up. I like the red basket, but the blue one is pretty too. Your kitty had bonded to you. I’m don’t know much about cats, but I know my dogs annoy me all the time. Good thing I love them!
Too funny! The problem is that she is too cute now so she knows that you won’t do anything about the annoying bits.
You’ve been making great progress, even if you skipped one night of hand quilting. Raven will probably get better about not getting underfoot when she’s a bit older. Queenie still follows My Girl into the bathroom, but that’s about it. Queenie values her napping more these days and tends to find a place she can observe when she’s awake rather than follow her around.
Raven is adorable! She has adopted you as her person completely. She trusts and loves you. She’s so precious!
I’m really loving how Timeless is coming along. The blocks are so beautiful. Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss.
