Yesterday was a day spent sitting on the porch reading and working on hexies. I added one more finished triangle of hexies to the stack finished but not attached – 12 needed and now have 4 more sections to make – progress was shown last week at this post – I might go ahead and sew a few of these sections on to the main piece before I make more – just because. Linking to Small Quilts and Doll Quilts today.
Rhubarb pie was made – too big of a slice eaten and I felt too full last night! nice and tart but too much!!
And pretty sunflowers – a wild variety – I’m sure I will have more growing in the next couple weeks.
And that is it – not much happening here right now – I hope to get a little more done today.

You’re making great progress on these sections for Noriko’s Star! What are you reading? I bought Nora Roberts’ latest book – Identity – and have been reading it whenever I get a break between other things, like working out in the yard. Your pie looks yummy! And, sunflowers already, too. I just planted some sunflower seeds yesterday!
Ah that rhubarb pie looks perfect! I find it too hard to resist anything inside a crust and always overeat. Enjoy your day!
It looks like a perfect day! The pie looks delicious!
Your pie looks yummy! And your hexies are looking good. Sounds like a delightful day!
Your hexies are coming along very nicely. I love the soft colors. Thanks for the rhubarb pie picture too. There are no calories involved as I look at your beautiful pie from my Ipad. Great pie! Hugs, Judy
It’s fun to see some yellow blooms this early in the season. Most of my earliest flowers are blue and pink.
Porch sewing has to be the best. I don’t get a chance to do that very often. I should clean up our back porch and plan for some slow stitching before the day gets to hot for it. It’s getting to that time of year.
Hexies + Pie makes a perfect day!
Rhubarb pie, hand stitched hexies and wild sunflowers sounds like a lovely day to me, Karen! 🙂
Porch sitting – sounds like a great way to spend an afternoon. I’m hoping to do a bit of that myself after the Memorial Day program. Your pie looks really delicious!
Rhubarb pie sounds nice!
