Pillows are not hard to do I don’t know why I have no enjoyment from them – the making of them I mean – I like the pillow when it is done. It is like a chore – use these panels and get them done. I should have just sent them on to another. When I got my flannel fat quarter bundle several years ago I didn’t even realize they were included in the bundle until I opened it up. I decided to not quilt the middle of this one and just call it done. I guess I should knit or crochet a new shawl in red/green to place on the end of the couch to grab when I am chilly and put the blue away for the Xmas season – but not this year – too busy!! And I don’t do it fast.
With the panels put away to look at another day I got the NYB back out and will start to pick out fabric today for this challenging block which believe it or not will be so much more fun for me then a pillow was!
The Arkansas Traveler was finished on one end –

That last photo! It’s what my dreams are about! You are really moving along in the sewing room. Cute pillow!!
The pillows both came out really cute. I have to be in the mood for non quilt related projects, they just aren’t as relaxing for me to make. Enjoy the process of picking out the fabrics for the next NYB block. It looks like another tricky one.
I know you must be getting excited to be that close to finishing Arkansas Traveller. What a beautiful work of love!
Your second pillow looks great! I am glad you persevered. Arkansas Traveler is getting so close to be finished. It’s so beautiful.
I really like that photo of your quilting frame and The Wall of NYB. I understand that working on the NYB block will be more fun!
Your pillow is cute, and you’ll enjoy having it done to add to the Christmas vibe around the house! Looks like the newest NYB block will be a challenging one, but a near design to see when finished, too. Have fun working on it today!
You may not have enjoyed making the pillow but you will enjoy seeing it all season long for years to come. I am proud of you that you stuck with it and used up one of the panels!
I absolutely 100% understand why you are more excited about challenging NYB blocks and procrastinate on the easy pillows! Those blocks on your design wall are sending shivers down my spine and they are not even mine! :-). I love the mix of fabrics you used for your Arkansas Traveler border, by the way. Just gorgeous!
Oh my – that NYB quilt is taking my breath away! It’s just fabulous!
I’ve been procrastinating on a Christmas (gift) pillow, too. I should just bite the bullet and do it instead of waffling about the border fabric. Yours turned out very cute. And your quilting and piecing projects are both wonderful
I really like your pillows! Cozy Christmas decor! I know what you mean about sewing anything other than quilts though, I have some aprons to make as part of a gift and I am dreading it.
AT is getting so close!
Love your pillow and seeing your wall and quilt stand! Everything looks awesome! Thanks for sharing with Monday Musings.
