Some Hand Stitching

I didn’t get done with much yesterday – I had intended to but the day just got away from me.  I will link up today with Kathy’s Slow Sunday Stitching and Kate’s Life in Pieces.

I will try to make another unit for Honey, Honey – I got one done yesterday.

And this is the quilting I did on Silent Night Friday night.  I had started this grid on Thursday night.  I think grid work is so easy. I travel the needle through the batting and do not knot off at the end of every line.  I try to straight on one line and then make a turn continuing on if you know what I mean.

It was hard to see the green on this tree but I can see it better in person.  The lightening just wasn’t right.

I just started the newest JD Robb book yesterday she has written so many in this Eve Dallas series I kind of wonder why I am still reading them LOL – same platform in all of them but I just keep plugging away reading them all when I know there will be another murder and she will solve it all with her trusty rich husband beside her!!  It is a fantasy isn’t it. An escape from reality.

I like grid quilting, it compliments any quilt. Some days stuff does just get in the way! Annoying isn’t it!

Your quilting is perfect for this quilt. That’s a pretty Honey Honey block to add to the collection. Gail at the cozy quilter

I just finished that book on the plane yesterday. I look forward to the new book in the series every time – they are definitely an escape from reality, lol! The characters and what’s going on with them are what I’m interested in most, not necessarily solving the murder, if you know what I mean. The grid quilting on Silent Night is looking great – I can see why you enjoy quilting that design!

The variegated thread looks so pretty on the light background.

I love Nora Roberts books, I’d probably like these, so I’ll have to try one. This weather doesn’t inspire me to do much of anything, although I had the oven on baking yesterday morning – lol! I like your grid quilting.

Your grid looks perfect! Happy Sunday!

There’s something to listening to a new but familiar story but I hear you about the sameness of a book series. I’ve felt that way about Danielle Steel and then Jodi Picout.

Some day just get away from us, but you did make some progress. I don’t think I’ve read any of the Eve Dallas series. Do you recommend starting with the first?

Some days we just don’t get to the sewing machine. You are still making good progress as any progress is good. I haven’t ordered the newest Eve Dallas book, but I should this week so I have some thing to read at my daughter’s while she’s working. I enjoy the crime solving part of the stories and I’ve gotten to the point that I know and like most of the cast of characters. So I keep reading.

Perfect. I just finished an audiobook last night in the Kat Holloway series so I’ll go look for this series. The quilting looks great.

That makes sense to make as long of a continuous line of quilting as possible. I like to do that on machine quilting too.

I like some of my reliable book series. It’s nice to occasionally have a book that I don’t have to spent too much time figuring out. The Sandford books are probably my favorite. l also really like Nick Petrie.
